Hıstory Of Or-bey

Or-bey TEKSTIL has been founded in 1994 by Mr Orhan ORNEK who has been actively working in Textile sector since 1978. After leaving the family business in textile production Mr Ornek started hıs own company Or-bey.

Since the foundation of the company Or-bey always focused on qualıty control so the first investment was the quality control machines and quality control systems, until the year 2004 Or-bey continued its production activities by using the capacity of sub-contractor weaving companies in the local market however in order to control the whole weaving process Or-bey invested in weaving looms starting from the year 2004

Today Or-bey has a 2000,000 million meters annual production capacity in house. Most of the yarns used in production are either kept in stock or supplied from the stock service of the yarn suppliers, all the weaving process has been done in house, fabrics are controlled %100 during the greige stage and also after finishing before shipment. Dyeing and finishing operations are sub-contracted to different mills according to the type of product.

Or-bey also invested on research and development operations during the last years. In order to meet the customer demands for new products every season Or-bey invested on both machinery and people. Today, Or-bey employs two designers and two designer assistants working full time for collection development and production, these designers use CAD softwares, two manual handlooms for the design stage and for the production of collection fabrics they use the recently bought SUZUKI sample warping machine, YAMADA sample sizing machine and also AGTEKS sample yarn twisting machine, two of the looms in house are used to produce only collection fabrics. Or-bey designers use the trend books as design materials and also feedback of the customer demands, trendbooks of widely known Italian and French companies are used by designers of Or-bey , for each season every year.

Today Or-bey’s main goal and focus is to leave the competition behind and producing the fashion driven fabrics in trend and producing them just in time for the customers.
